Our Mission

We train people from all walks of life to advocate on behalf of foster children in our community.

The mission of CASA is to provide foster children in Ocean County with a trained volunteer who will advocate on their behalf while they reside in foster care. Our volunteer advocates identify needs, make recommendations to the family court and provide these children with a steady, consistent adult presence during this difficult, and often tumultuous, time in their young lives.

"Being a CASA Advocate has changed my life. I know that I am the first adult in her life that she has been able to depend on. I have followed her to three foster homes and each time I visit she thanks me for 'finding her'. It is heartbreaking. Then I am get to share updates about her in court with the judge. It makes me proud when I am able to share her progress, She has come so far!"

Our Impact In 2023

Since moving on from the pandemic, we have seen so much change in our communities, and this is even more true for the abused and neglected children in foster care that we serve.  Our volunteers have helped our foster children with their emotional needs, issues that arose in their education, and so much more. And there are hundreds more waiting for a CASA volunteer. Over the last year, we were asked to advocate for almost 100 new children entering foster care in our county.  With the continued support of our volunteers, staff, and community we ensured that each of them had a steady and consistent adult presence in their life who advocated on their behalf in the Ocean County foster care system.
